How verification works

A state is marked Verified only after we have read the current rule text from the state supreme court or bar's own publications, quoted it directly, and cited it. States marked In verification have a known recent rule change we are confirming before publishing guidance — we would rather show you nothing than show you last year's rule. Our monitoring re-checks every state's sources quarterly.
