How These Figures Are Calculated

When comparing costs, distinguish a historical rate card from current campaign data. Full campaign cost includes actual Meta spend, the 15% management fee, setup and applicable CloudIntake fees. The public market benchmark uses the cost definition stated on its methodology page. Neither is a guarantee of future cost or verified case volume.

How it works

How your budget becomes signed retainers.

Step 1

You set the criteria and the budget.

Injury, time window, jurisdictions, documentation a claimant must produce. You approve every ad and landing page in writing before anything goes live.

Step 2

MTAA runs the Meta campaigns.

Tort-specific creative, firm-branded landing pages with TCPA consent capture, and daily media buying on a pixel already trained on that tort. Media at invoice cost plus 15%.

Step 3

CloudIntake qualifies and signs.

Claimants answer your criteria in a flow-through form and e-sign your retainer. $100 per signed retainer. No outbound calls, no TCPA exposure on follow-up.

Step 4

You get a documented claimant trail.

Every retainer arrives with its ad, landing page, consent record, and timestamps, labeled by stage: lead, qualified, executed retainer, firm accepted, filed.

Full methodology, economics, and the seven questions to ask any operator: How MTAA works with plaintiff firms.

Why firms stay

Why law firms choose MTAA.

Cost-plus pricing

Actual media spend plus 15%. The $25,000 minimum includes all fees, with no fixed spending timeline. Unspent funds are refundable after earned or owed fees.

No resale

Your claimants are yours. MTAA never sells the same lead to a second firm and never takes a share of the fee.

Tort-trained pixels

Participating campaigns share a tort-specific pixel and benefit from accumulated campaign data. Your leads remain exclusive. Results and costs vary.

Documented chain of custody

Your attorney approves the disclaimer, images and landing page, plus the question flow when using CloudIntake. Signed claimants still require further case verification.

Recorded overview: Service details have evolved since this video was made. See the current pricing and intake answers below for the campaign minimum, optional CloudIntake, account ownership and refund terms.

For fifteen years, I've done one thing: get mass tort cases for plaintiff law firms off Facebook and Instagram. We started in 2015 as X Social Media. Today we're Mass Tort Ad Agency — same team, same operators, bigger operation. And the numbers behind that are the real story.

Over $250 million in Meta ad spend. More than 600 plaintiff firms. Over 100 different mass torts. Two million leads and counting. That's not a pitch — that's fifteen years of data on what actually converts, tort by tort, market by market. That's the part most agencies can't touch.

On most torts, I can tell you the real cost per signed retainer before you spend a dollar. Video game addiction, three-fifty to four hundred a case. PFAS, twelve hundred to eighteen hundred. Sexual abuse torts, phone-first, trauma-informed, two to three thousand. Those aren't guesses. They're our actual rate card, updated every hour from live campaigns running right now on Facebook and Instagram.

Here's how we're different. We're not a lead broker. We don't buy leads, we don't resell them, and we don't take a cut of your fee. We run real ads — on your firm's account or ours — and every lead and signed case belongs to you. Pricing is cost-plus fifteen percent: you see exactly what we spend on Meta, and we add a flat fifteen percent on top. That's it.

And our intake is in-house through CloudIntake, so when a tort heats up, we scale the ads and the intake on the same day. Less work for you — leave it to the professionals.

We just rebuilt the whole thing at masstortadagency.com. Go see the new site. You'll find our real rate card, the torts we're running right now, and our full intelligence suite — the data engine behind every campaign we run. There's even an AI version of me on there you can ask anything, day or night. When you're ready for the real conversation, book a thirty-minute call. Tell us your case type. We'll tell you how to get it.

Frequently asked

Before you book the call.

Mass Tort Ad Agency (MTAA), formerly X Social Media LLC, has run Facebook and Instagram advertising for plaintiff law firms since 2015. Founded by Jacob Malherbe, MTAA has managed $250M+ in Meta ad spend for 600+ law firms across 100+ mass torts and generated 2M+ leads. MTAA serves firms throughout the United States and a smaller group in Canada. Mass tort advertising is the main focus, with additional medical malpractice, birth injury and storm damage campaigns.
The minimum campaign budget is $25,000, including all fees, with no fixed spending timeline. Pricing is actual Facebook and Instagram ad spend plus a 15% management fee, a one-time $1,000 setup fee per tort, and $100 per signed retainer when CloudIntake is used. The management fee is earned only as advertising money is spent. Unspent client funds can be refunded at any time for any reason, after accounting for fees already earned or owed.
No. MTAA charges for actual advertising spend and disclosed fees. Cost per signed retainer varies with the campaign, competition, creative, qualification criteria and intake results. Benchmarks describe observed results and are not fixed-price offers or guarantees.
CloudIntake is an optional sister company partly owned by Jacob Malherbe. Its self-service intake applies the law firm’s approved qualification criteria. Claimants who qualify are offered the firm’s retainer and a HIPAA authorization to sign at the end of the funnel. Firms can instead use their own intake team and receive leads directly in their CRM.
A signed claimant has passed the firm’s intake criteria and signed the retainer and HIPAA authorization. This does not mean medical records have been verified or that the case will survive further review. The law firm handles subsequent verification, and some signed claimants will not proceed.
MTAA owns and operates the Meta ad accounts. Campaigns for the same tort can share a tort-specific pixel and benefit from accumulated campaign data. Each campaign directs leads to one law firm’s approved landing page. The firm’s leads, retainers and claimant relationships are exclusive to that firm; leads are not resold or shared with other firms.
Campaigns normally begin running within about three days after the firm supplies its qualification criteria and completes the required approvals. The attorney approves the disclaimer, images and landing page. If CloudIntake is used, the attorney also approves the question flow against the firm’s criteria. Timing depends on receiving those inputs and approvals.
Before launch, the client receives a dashboard showing the campaign budget, actual ad spend, MTAA’s earned fee, cost per lead, cost per signed retainer, applicable intake costs and remaining funds. The dashboard updates automatically every hour from Facebook. When a firm uses its own intake, signed-retainer reporting depends on the outcomes supplied by that intake system.
Yes. Unspent funds remain the client’s money and may be refunded at any time for any reason, after accounting for fees already earned or owed. There is no fixed timeline for spending the campaign budget.
Yes. MTAA works with firms entering mass torts and established firms expanding their campaigns. Consulting is included for advertising clients.
MTAA accepts inquiries for all mass tort campaigns, including those not listed as running on the market page. Medical malpractice, birth injury and storm damage are also important campaign areas. Discuss current feasibility, criteria and budget directly with Jacob.
