Warm Transfer (Intake)

Also known as: live transfer, hot transfer

A warm transfer is an intake process in which a live call center agent speaks with a prospective claimant, conducts a preliminary qualification screen, and then verbally introduces and connects the caller in real time to a law firm intake specialist or attorney before dropping off the line. Unlike a cold transfer, the receiving party is briefed on the caller's situation before the handoff, reducing drop-off rates and improving conversion of qualified leads into signed retainers. In mass tort campaigns, warm transfers are typically priced on a per-transfer or per-qualified-transfer basis and are favored for high-value dockets where claimant trust and immediate attorney engagement are critical.
