Intake · Mass Tort Glossary

Exclusion Criteria

Factors that disqualify an otherwise interested claimant from a mass tort campaign. Common exclusion criteria include prior settlement of the same claim, statute of limitations expiration, absence of a qualifying injury, and failure to meet minimum exposure duration requirements. Rigorous exclusion criteria reduce case acquisition costs but tighten the qualifying claimant pool.
