Lead Aggregator

Also known as: lead vendor, lead broker, lead reseller

A lead aggregator is a third-party company that generates, purchases, or collects mass tort claimant inquiries from multiple sources—such as digital ads, television, and co-registration networks—and resells those leads to plaintiff law firms or referral networks. Unlike a direct-response campaign run exclusively for one firm, an aggregator may sell the same lead to multiple buyers simultaneously or sequentially, which can reduce exclusivity and affect contact and conversion rates. Plaintiff firms evaluating aggregator relationships must scrutinize lead exclusivity terms, sourcing transparency, and compliance with applicable bar rules governing attorney advertising and referral arrangements.
