Causation Signal

Any piece of scientific, epidemiological, or clinical evidence suggesting a causal link between a defendant product and plaintiff injury. Strong causation signals — published studies, FAERS disproportionality, expert consensus — are necessary preconditions for a viable mass tort docket. Weak causation signals indicate elevated litigation risk regardless of intake volume.
